EMSCULPT is the first device to build muscle and sculpt your body. Through the high-intensity electromagnetic therapy procedure, one can enlarge current muscles, as well as grow new muscle fibers. The Emsculpt machine procedure is currently FDA cleared to treat your abdominals, buttocks, arms, calves, and thighs.

FINALLY, A TREATMENT THAT WORKS

EMSCULPT is a game-changing, non-surgical body contouring treatment that has shown in multiple clinical studies the ability to build 25% more muscle and reduce fat by 30%, on average, in 30-minute treatment sessions… and it’s FDA approved!

You can sculpt your abdomen, buttocks, arms, and legs. This innovative solution is the first of its kind to simultaneously treat both muscle and fat to dramatically change the tone and appearance of the treated area. The EMSCULPT machine delivers high-intensity electromagnetic pulses (HIFEM) to muscles, which causes them to contract. Muscles are tightened, toned, and strengthened in the same way as doing 20,000 manual crunches or squats. The result is a sculpted and toned look without any need for surgery or medical downtime. Regular use of the EMSCULPT machine can also improve texture flaws and other naturally occurring symptoms of cellulite, wrinkling, and dimples, and is often considered to be a cellulite removal tactic.

By delivering optimal energy in a short period of time, we can now give you more results and confidence in less time and for fewer costs!

  • THE SCIENCE

The non-invasive HIFEM® (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) technology induces powerful muscle contractions not achievable through voluntary contractions. When exposed to strong contractions, the muscle tissue is forced to adapt to such extreme conditions. It responds with a deep remodeling of its inner structure that results in muscle building and sculpting your body.

During normal voluntary muscle contractions, the muscle fibers relax between each nervous stimulus due to the central nervous system’s inability to signal another impulse while the previous one is still in action. An EMSCULPT machine can generate impulses that are independent of brain function, and at such a rapid frequency that doesn’t allow such a relaxation phase. Under normal conditions, the highest amount of tension that could be developed and held physiologically is called maximal voluntary contraction (MVC). Usually, it lasts only for a split second.

So even when you are holding a muscle contracted the individual fibers are intermittently firing. Your brain sends a signal via a nerve pathway and the nerve triggers a muscle fiber contraction. At best you are recruiting a handful of muscle fibers at a time (approximately 30-50%)

Contractions with a tension higher than MVC are defined as supramaximal contractions (SMC). The EMSCULPT machine can generate supramaximal contractions in 100% of your muscle fibers and hold them for multiple seconds, which significantly increases the physiologic stress/workload needed to allow muscles to adapt. The effects on muscle tissue, when exposed to these supramaximal contractions (which are humanly impossible) and with 20,000 contractions in 30 minutes, is that the muscle tissue is forced to adapt to such extreme conditions and responds with a deep remodeling of its inner structure.
